Reeka Studios developed the concept and artwork for Infants by Enfers, creating a visual direction around the song’s themes of growing up, losing childhood freedom and being forced into the expectations of adult life.
The central image placed a ten-year-old child on a beach, a setting normally associated with leisure, escape and rest, dressed in a huge oversized suit. The contrast between the child, the formal adult clothing and the open coastal landscape was designed to capture the feeling of being pushed into the “real world” before you are ready: work, responsibility, independence and the pressure to conform.
The shoot took place in Saltburn, with Reeka Studios photographing model David Blackburn across a number of variations on the concept. Alongside the final cover artwork, alternative images from the shoot were used for promotional material and Spotify Canvas assets, extending the visual idea across the wider release campaign.
The final artwork used a simple, surreal image to express the discomfort at the heart of the track: a child visibly out of place in adult life, standing between play, pressure and the expectations waiting ahead.
