When It’s Raining is an upcoming stage play written in connection with SHR Theatre. Set across one day in a rural Airbnb, the play follows a group of old friends whose annual hiking trip is derailed by severe rain, flooded roads and the slow realisation that nobody can leave. What begins as a familiar weekend of in-jokes, board games and passive-aggressive comfort gradually becomes a pressure cooker, exposing buried grief, resentment, addiction, secrecy, class anxiety, stalled adulthood and the quiet fractures in long friendships.
